Spain continues to SOAr!
Many Europeans enjoy the Malaga
region in the month of July with its
sunshine and activities, and 2019
has been no different with Malaga
Airport reporting another growth of
airline passengers, 3.8% more than
July 2018, bringing a staggering
2,228,460 passengers to our region.
Infact, this year has seen a 5.9%
increase from January to July 2019
during the same period in 2018. Tourist
spending is projected to rise by 3.2%.
Malaga ranks 4th among Spain’s most
frequented airports. Madrid leads,
followed by Barcelona and Palma de
Mallorca. Yet more good reasons to
invest in the Axarquia! n
Local Investment Continues
In an extraordinary session, the Diputación de
Malaga has approved an economic aid plan
for the 103 municipalities of the province with
16,657,623.40 euros, from the remaining 2018
treasury. Once distributed the municipalities can
devote the amount they receive to the actions they
consider most necessary for their municipality. The
16.6 million euros will be distributed according to
three distribution criteria. 10 million euros will be
distributed between the 103 municipalities of the
province proportionally according to the number of inhabitants, although there will be a weighting for
those under 25,000. The capital Malaga will receive 340,000 euros. (Source Diputación de Málaga)
